As an engineering student at 51±¬ÁÏ, academic advising happens once per semester and takes place within the engineering department. Here you’ll find all the forms and information you’ll need to plan your education at 51±¬ÁÏ and graduate on time.

• International Designation Requirements

  Engineering students may receive an international designation along with the BSE degree by completing any two of the following three requirements:

  1. An off-campus program.
  2. An international internship and demonstrating some ability to speak the language of your internship country.
  3. The engineering summer program in Germany.

  Other procedures and activities may qualify for the international designation. For additional details, please contact the Prof. Mark Michmerhuizen.

• Sustainability Designation Requirements

  51±¬ÁÏ students may receive a sustainability designation along with their degree by completing several courses and participating in a 100-hour sustainability related experience/internship. Adding a sustainability designation to your degree demonstrates your commitment to understanding pressing environmental challenges and analyzing solutions.   Any questions about the current list of approved sustainability-related courses or what practical experiences qualify for credit should be directed to the engineering department sustainability designation coordinator.

• Honors Requirements
