Marilyn Naidoo Lecture on Unexpected Innovators: African Women, Formation, and the Renewal of the Church
- Mon, Nov 16, 2026
- 4:00 pm–5:00 pm
Meeter Center Lecture Hall
What if the most transformative innovations in the African church are not emerging from pulpits, seminaries, or denominational offices?
Join the Nagel Institute and Dr. Marilyn Naidoo of the University of South Africa for a lecture exploring how African Christian women, often excluded from formal structures of power, are nevertheless driving some of the church's most profound processes of spiritual, social, and ecclesial renewal.
Dr. Naidoo serves as professor of practical theology at the University of South Africa. She is a scholar of spiritual formation and theological education.
The focuses on ways in which the study of World Christianity can change perspectives, foster knowledge, and reinvigorate Christian thought and practice.
